3 Easy Ways to Eat Smarter and Healthier
Here are three simple tips to get you on track towards eating smarter and healthier.

The number one excuse we hear when it comes to living more healthy is: “I don’t have time for that.”
In reality, making a few small changes to your daily habits can lead to many positive changes for your health. The key is to be able to plan ahead and focus on your goals.
To lose weight and become healthier, you must start by identifying and overcoming your unhealthy habits, eating smarter and exercising regularly. When it comes to healthy eating, many people struggle with having an eating plan that fits their lifestyle. Here are three simple tips to get you on track towards eating smarter and healthier:
1. MEAL PREP: Choose a day during the week when you have 2 hours to cook. For instance, every Sunday you can cook your meals for the upcoming week. Prep your breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 6 days – this will leave you with 18 meals for the week. Some easy food to prep include pre-chopping and roasting vegetables, grilling meat, or cooking a hardy meal for the week.
2. PLAN what you are going to cook. Make sure to be within your calorie range for your age, height and weight. Each meal should have a healthy protein, carb and fat. Women need a minimum of 1200 calories and men need at least 1800 calories for optimal performance.
3. STORE your prepped food in containers or freezer bags. When you are rushing around throughout the week, there is nothing easier than grabbing an already prepped meal out of the fridge or freezer and heating it up. This also stops you from grabbing unhealthy food around the house or office and reduces the urge to buy fast food.
Most importantly, have fun prepping your meals. Get your friends and family involved so it doesn’t feel like a chore. Prepare food that you enjoy to eat while seeking healthy alternatives to the less healthy meals that you may crave. Before you know it, your unhealthy habits will be a thing of the past and you will be on track towards living a healthy, fulfilling life.
