Join us in giving back by supporting the
Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI)
Transfitnation is running a fundraising campaign for the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI). This campaign will run through the end of June 2023. We will be raising money for the DDI through our Spring Into Action Wellness Challenge, Apparel Fundraiser & our GoFundMe page.
Ways You Can Support:
Learn more about the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI)
Founded in 1961, DDI serves more than 1,700 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. As a nonprofit, DDI relies on the generosity of donors to ensure that those served experience their maximum personal growth and fulfillment. Your support extends DDI’s ability to provide the highest quality of service in their educational, residential, habilitative, vocational, transportation and self-direction services.
The money raised from this fundraising campaign and wellness challenge will be used to provide the children and adults at DDI with therapeutic gardens. The children and adults at Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) are thrilled to be spending time outdoors appreciating nature and feeling the warmth of the sun and the cool soil as they plant their gardens at DDI. The benefits of these gardens go beyond the vegetables, herbs, and flowers they yield – they also build self-esteem, calm the senses and instill a sense of wonder in those DDI serves. We are working to ensure that every site has a garden for each child and adult to enjoy. Join us in the Spring Into Action Wellness Challenge to help to provide therapeutic gardens to be enjoyed by our children and adults for years to come.
DDI is a local charitable organization based in Smithtown, NY.

April 25 – May 14, 2023
We are selling shirts to promote awareness of neurodiversity. Neurodiversity describes the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one “right” way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits. The word neurodiversity refers to the diversity of all people, but it is often used in the context of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as other neurological or developmental conditions such as ADHD or learning disabilities (Harvard Health, 2021).
All profits will be donated to the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), based out of Smithtown, NY.
